Even if the new airport in Bangkok is up and running the old Phuket Airport has major problem handling all the new tourists that are arriving.
Last year only have the amount came to visit the Island of Phuket mainly because the fear of another Tsunami and that Phuket was not ready for them. This year people are coming back as normal but the immigration police did not count on this many people.
They also started a renovation of the immigration in time for the high season to make things extra slow.
In another news people are telling Thai immigration officers to bring back happy Thailand because the normal way they look at your passport is grab it, look at you with a nasty look and then if everything looks normal trough it back at you and point at the next person.
The rudeness of the Thai immigration in the airport can only be beaten by there Cambodian counterpart because they are ruder and they also take you money.
We suggest that Thai immigration look south to Malaysia or Singapore when officers are welcoming to you to the country and wishing you return back soon, with a smile.
