Kalasin is one of the provinces (changwat) of Thailand, located in the North-East of Thailand. Most of the commonwealth is hermetical by hilly landscape. The tract is subdivided concern 18 districts: Mueang Kalasin, Yang Talat, Kamalasai, Sahatsakhan, Kuchi Narai, Tha Khantho, Somdet, Khao Wong, Huai Mek, Kham Muang, Nong Kung Si, Na Mon, Huai Phung, Rong Kham, Na Khu, Sam Chai, Don Chan and Khong Chai. Most of the fossils are from Sauropods of 120 million years ago.
Kalasin is an agricultural monarchy effective sticky rice (a kind of short-grained Asian rice that is especially sticky when cooked) and unlike capital crops commensurate as manioc and muzzle cane. The families are generally poor in this essentially rural area and make ends meet by producing the silk for which the region is also renowned and basketry.

Wichit Phrae Wa Silk Festival: This holiday is devolving on annually on August 12 of every year.
