Traffic Chaos in Bangkok

The Red Shirts or UDD have once more taken to the streets and are at this moment blocking the traffic in Bangkok. These are the roads they will march on:

Yommarat road
Petchaburi road
Ratchadapisek road
Ladprao road
Bangkapi road
Ramkamheng road
Rama 4 road
Silom road
Yaowarat (China Town) road and most shop in China town are closed due to this.

The Redshirts have been instructed not to hit back or scream back at the angry people in Bangkok and hope people from Bangkok will join them.

The Redshirts have promised not to take the way around the airport and to the Siriaj Hospital where the King of Thailand is staying.

Since the traffic is almost to a standstill in central Bangkok traffic going in and out from the city will off course be blocked as well.

If you do not have any business in Bangkok today and tomorrow do not go there.

Phuket drug crackdown

They have arrested another stupid foreigner on the island of Phuket that had the idea that the drugs were free to use in Thailand. The Police paraded him in front of the camera with a few other small time Thai drug dealers. The Phuket Police called it the new crack down on drugs and these people were all they could find on short notice.

It is really sad that the Police do not arrest all the people that walks around in Thailand and offers drugs to people. I see them as soon as I step out of the door and they keep asking me to buy drugs. Arrest them instead of tourists and Thailand will be a better place for sure. But one reason for the police not arresting is because they are police spies. When they sold the drugs to the tourist they call the police and get a rearward.

I know I covered this before but people still taking the risk to get arrested and end up in Thai jail for months for a few grams of marijuana.

Pattaya Musical festival 2010

This weekend the big Pattaya Musical festival will hit Pattaya. I am sure it will be the longest music festival in Asia but will it be the best one? Last weekend I was out in Pattaya and checked some of the stages and the space between the stage and the street is so small. It will be the same problem as before you have to go aroooound to get to the next stage. You will have no space to move in the crowd it is to packed so you have to go back up on Second road and then go back down. Last time they did like this I walked around on the back because the water was low but I am not sure they will allow this. I think the idea is great and I am happy for Pattaya but if something would happen the water will be safest place to run.

If you do not want to see the music festival I advice you not to go to Pattaya this weekend the traffic will be jammed and the hotels overbooked and overpriced.

Here are the details for the music festival

The blue stage in central Pattaya is for variety. Artists include Klear, Kala, So Cool, Namcha, Ice Sarunyoo, Clash, Black Beauty, Potato, Mike Phiromporn, Brazier, Tai Tanawut, Buddha Bless, Pong-Lang Sa-orn, and Thaitanium.

The purple stage at Central Festival has easy-listening from the Candies, Dream On, Panadda, Lukpad, Lula, Nam, Ford Sobchai, Bell Supol, Nicole Theriault, Ann Thitima, Calorie Blah Blah, Soulda, Pom Autobahn and Techin.

Yellow stage with Ska and reggae in south Pattaya with Madagascar II Circle, Joey Boy, Superglasses, Manorom, No Bar Nachore, JoFax, Lasanya, Modley Ska, Bangkok Smoke Run, Gold Red and Bangsean Gaya.

Green Stage at Pattaya soi 4 with Indie rockers. They include Pek Palitchok, New-Jew, Off Pongsak, Ab Normal, Parapol, Pancake, Stamp, Tattoo Colour, Slur, the Richman Toy, Instinct, and Kob Saowanit.

Property Agent Scam in Pattaya

After the article we had yesterday about the big scam lawyer “Joe” we got some emails about a property broker in Pattaya that also trying to fraud people. The name of this property agent in Pattaya will soon be known to the public but they are looking for victims.

We normal do not write about cases to be but this case we talked to the lawyers in questions and seen the files they submitted in to the court.

Apparently a very big property agent in Pattaya have been taking deposits and never given the money to the owner of the houses leaving the buyers stranded.

He (because it is a he and he is a foreigner) has selected customers that do not stay in Thailand and have asked them to send money to him. When he got the money he have simple kept the money and not given the owners of the property any money.

My guess is that he will soon run away from Thailand because he will be arrested otherwise. This property agent has a big office in the Pattaya area and always advertises in many newspapers.

If you feel that you have been scammed in a similar way please contact us and we will talk to the lawyer about this and ask him to contact you. The more people sue in the same time the better.
