If you want to believe the current government of Thailand and off course you do, then there is a cease fire with the south Thailand insurgents.
They declared that 11 insurgents groups have stop fighting and any other groups that continue fighting would be eliminated.
To really point out how serious they were they managed to kill some more people and blow up a police station 4 days after they declared ceasefire. Maybe there is 30 more groups out there and the government need to talk with them as well? From now until today around 3500 people have been killed in the violence.
Let’s wait for another month and see what this is all about and if the government is just trying to turn our eyes to the south and not to Bangkok.

I think I told you this before but do not rent a jet ski in Thailand. It can ruin your holiday and the wallet for a while.
Many tourists have ended up paying more then enough to scammers paying like land sharks on innocent tourist. The government of the different tourist’s areas has “tried” to do something’s but since the scams are so profitable nobody really want to stop doing them. Everybody kicks the money up to tourist’s police and higher so why stop it?
The best way to show them that they have to clean up their act is to stop renting them, just stop all of you tourists coming to Thailand.
At least one good thing is that the Pattaya police have said they do not want to take care of the problem anymore. If the rental company on the beach wants to go to the police after you refuse to pay the silly amount for no damage on the Jet Ski.
Then please go to the police and tell them that you are being scammed and want to file a report and notify your embassy. The police can not do anything to you because this is a civil matter and has nothing to do with the police. If the rental company threaten you tell the police and then let them escort you away from the rental company and do not go back to that beach anymore.
The police have told the rental company this as well, at least in Pattaya so that they will try screaming and other ways to get the scammed money.

I can give you the first review of the WOW California in Pattaya. The place has a huge lobby and a smaller gym section but the Yoga and Group X rooms are nice and big.
The personal trainers are plentiful like the fitness center in Paragon it is clear that the WOW fitness center is betting on rich clients in Pattaya.
There is no sauna but a security guard is present in the shower room to make sure we do not do anything bad in the showers.
They do not give out any free towels so people dry themselves with the hair dryers and that is pretty funny to watch. I do not think WOW safes lots of money not having any towels because the power to the hair dryer must cost a lot.
One other bad thing with the missing towels is that nobody dries of there gear and that’s kind of grosses.
If Eric Levine troughs in some free small towels and a sauna and maybe change the CD every week it will upgrade the first WOW center in Pattaya Thailand.

A Swedish man drowned in the pool in the Pattaya hotel where he was staying. His Thai girlfriend got worried after breakfast when he did not come back and went looking for him. The pool boy found the man of the bottom of the floor and got him up but could save his life.
The hospital said that they thought he died from heart attack from the heat and to much swimming.
