The old dinosaurs in Thailand must go

The old dinosaurs in Thailand must go

You know these faces since you are born, they been around since your parents had diapers and it is time for them to move on. Thailand will never move any further will this people still stay in politics. I am not saying we should kill them or something but they should simple fade away and do what a normal person do when they become 70 years old.

I know they probably have loads of wisdom and knowledge to pass on to the younger generation of politicians and they say they want the best for Thailand but is that really true? What have they given Thailand the last 50 years? South Korea, Japan, Shingapore, China, Vietnam and if it was not for the Red Khmer I think Cambodia would have passed Thailand as well.

Thailand has been stuck in some political vacuum with these old timers and always looking to do a comeback or hand over their political throne to their sons. It sounds more like Syria then a democracy to me and last time I checked Thailand was a democracy.

You can see the problems with the late PM of Thailand Samak he was with the old Guard of people and he had no idea how even talk to the media or other people. It was his way or the highway and that led to the Yellow Shirts that now have gotten us here to the Red Shirts.

When they met on TV last week it looks like a big kindergarten party when nobody want to compromise and before and after they just trying to score as many points as possible to impress the teacher.

I can tell you we are not impressed and the Thai people are certainly not impressed with your “sacrifices” for the country. You are creating a generation of haters and killers and the Thai and Buddhist values are a memory from old times. Opening fire at people and raiding hospitals is not the right signal to send to the new generation of Thais.

Follow the words of His Majesty the King of Thailand and think about the country first not your own pride and political gain. You all swear legacy to The King but you are not really listening to him.

Nok Thaksin

Nok Thaksin does not say much sometimes he yelps but not much heard otherwise. I am worried he is ill and my maid from Essarn looks at him with timid eyes. She loves to take care of him and wish him to get better soon. Not much, we can do for Nok Thaksin but to look at him while he struggles for survival.  I am not a big fan not Nok Thaksin myself but we should care about all people and Noks when they need help. This is what being a Thai and Buddhist is about helping people and make there life’s a bit better. The greed and selfishness we see now in Thailand has taken root and and pushed the Buddhist values away. Nevertheless, we have to start somewhere to become more Buddhist so do not hate a Nok just because she or he is a Nok you are all Thai and from the same earth.

Thai media a good dog

Thai media need to become more independent and mature if we are ever going to have peace in Thailand. The media need to tell the truth, whatever the truth is. The problem is off course the lese majeste laws and we cannot break them but other than that there is no law forbidding the media from telling the truth. In time, maybe the lese majeste laws will vanish as the Thai media grows wiser but first it needs to grow bolder.

Thai media need to stop telling lies about the recent events in Bangkok and try to tell what is really going on. They need to demand answers from the different sides and not only keep publishing what given to them like a good dog. You can see most of the reports just nod their head to the person they talking to instead of asking them questions. We cannot expect ASTV and People Power Channel to tell us the whole truth because they are so bias already but the rest of the media need to keep in the center.

When the Thai media reports that, the army is shooting in the air you can see on the BBC that the soldiers aiming at the Red Shirts with live and rubber bullets. The fact that they used live rounds is clear since they managed to kill one of their own in friendly shooting. The Thai army clearly is in need of proper training on how to use riot gear properly; with the right training, you can control even the English hooligans.

The new media on Facebook, Twitter and blogs will soon take over the mainstream media since they can submit news faster and without any approval. When this happen the Thai established media would just look stupid saying something completely different. People will get angry when they see they been duped and anger leads to more hate and confusion and that is not what we need in Thailand.

When I told my maid today that a solider probably killed another solider she was so surprised she have heard on Thai TV that it was the Red Shirts that killed him. She also saw the pictures on the BBC when soldiers fire in the crowd and she was so angry when they in Thai media say that rubber bullets not kill.

The All Shirt Rally In Bangkok

The All Shirt Rally In Bangkok

No color

The Red Shirts have taken off the shirts and put on other colored shirts to make it harder for the police and army to catch them when they leave or enter the protest site. With no color on the shirts the protesters can hardly be arrested and it will make it more difficult for the army to crack down on them.

Swine Flue

Some of the Red Shirts have gotten swine flu inside the camp near world trade and they are treated at the police hospital of all places nearby.

No TV

Someone has distributed the signal of the state TV when the Thai PM was supposed to speak. He made a tape recording and before it broadcasted, everything went black for a few minutes. I think most of the people in Thailand thought that a coup was eminent.

Flip Flopping on crack down

The Army changes their views back and forward during the week regarding the eminent crack down. For now, it looks like they are supporting a crackdown.

Time is running out

The Red Shirts do not have manpower enough to march out again, most of the reds are tired and if they leave their camp the army can close it. Nevertheless, if they not push hard enough the Thai government might just let them stay there until they leave or get so few they cannot fight back. If the rain season comes soon the rest of the Red Shirts will probably leave. The governments on the other hand need to make the Red Shirts leave so they not look like total fools.

No Luxury bag is worth dying for

The Reds have closed down one of the most visited mall in Bangkok and people have stopped from buying luxury goods. However, the same Reds could never afford any of these bags. So will the Thai government and army want to kill people so that people can buy more luxury goods? The Reds will just come back in a few weeks or month and start all over.

No money worth dying for

I know you all heard that people paid to join the Red Shirts movement and I can reveal to you Thailand big secret that most people pay people from all camps not only Red Shirts get money to vote or demonstrate. However, the hard-core reds that are left now ready to die do not do it for the money.
