Pattaya Musical festival 2010

This weekend the big Pattaya Musical festival will hit Pattaya. I am sure it will be the longest music festival in Asia but will it be the best one? Last weekend I was out in Pattaya and checked some of the stages and the space between the stage and the street is so small. It will be the same problem as before you have to go aroooound to get to the next stage. You will have no space to move in the crowd it is to packed so you have to go back up on Second road and then go back down. Last time they did like this I walked around on the back because the water was low but I am not sure they will allow this. I think the idea is great and I am happy for Pattaya but if something would happen the water will be safest place to run.

If you do not want to see the music festival I advice you not to go to Pattaya this weekend the traffic will be jammed and the hotels overbooked and overpriced.

Here are the details for the music festival

The blue stage in central Pattaya is for variety. Artists include Klear, Kala, So Cool, Namcha, Ice Sarunyoo, Clash, Black Beauty, Potato, Mike Phiromporn, Brazier, Tai Tanawut, Buddha Bless, Pong-Lang Sa-orn, and Thaitanium.

The purple stage at Central Festival has easy-listening from the Candies, Dream On, Panadda, Lukpad, Lula, Nam, Ford Sobchai, Bell Supol, Nicole Theriault, Ann Thitima, Calorie Blah Blah, Soulda, Pom Autobahn and Techin.

Thai Press to be Silenced

In another move for press freedom the children of the late PM of Thailand Mr Thaksin have asked the court to gag the press to speculate on the verdict regarding their 46 billion THB. This is similar on what the former PM tried to do when he was in power and the press freedom was lesser then it is today.

The greatest forum of them all at Thaivisa.com says that they cannot guarantee press freedom on its forum and maybe have to close or delete some post if the court gags all press.

Thaivisa.com has been blamed many times by its members for being too political correct and follow the Thai government policy’s a bit too much from time to time. Some even think the Thai Visa forum is working with the Police or Military to spy on people in Thailand.

The Thai court can off course not stop the foreign media to speculate about the case and I really hope they don’t put a gag order on any press. If Thailand needs something it is more free press and people should be allowed to write whatever they want like any other democratic country.

Happy Ending Thai Massage in Sweden

Happy Ending Thai Massage in Sweden by ex bar girls from Thailand.

A Swedish newspaper Expressen.se  made an article about Thai massage in Sweden. Apparently the Thai girls do happy endings as well at the Thai massages places in Sweden.

The newspaper recorded the happy ending on video but did not go all the way to so speak. But when the reporter then called the massage place they denied ever offering happy endings.

The reporter also called a number of other massage places in Sweden mostly in Gothenburg and they all denied offering Thai massage with happy ending by phone but offered it in the privacy room.

Ex Bar girls from Pattaya

Sadly most Thai girls living in Sweden are ex bar girls from Pattaya and Bangkok and most of them divorce or leave their husband when they got a Swedish Passport. They take up the old trade as hookers in Sweden either as escorts or in massage places.

A Thai massage with happy ending cost about 2500 THB in Sweden but I think for now the offer is on hold because of the article.

No crime in Sweden

A person that offers sexual favors in Sweden does not commit a crime as they do in Thailand but the buyer do. But the chance to get caught during a Thai massage is very slim since Swedish Police cannot provoke a crime and cannot work undercover.

Plane with weapons landed in Bangkok

The plane that landed in Bangkok last week has raced many questions but few answers. Some of the theories on different forums are

Thaskin ordered the weapons for a coup with the red shirts
Yellow Shirts ordered the weapons to take over the airport again.
The weapons should be used to free the “merchant of death” now in Thai prison.
The USA told the Thai to force the plane down.
The weapons were on the way to Burma.
The weapons were on the way to the South Thailand Muslims
The weapons were to the new Tamil tigers.

The Thai PM have gone out and told the press that the plane that wanted to refuel in Bangkok was from North Korea and had made false declaration on what they had on board. The crew is detained and will face criminal court very soon. The crew have refused to answer questions for now and want to answer them in court.

This is the news from CNN.com

Bangkok, Thailand (CNN) — Thai authorities seized a cargo aircraft carrying tons of weapons from North Korea during a refueling stop in Bangkok, a government official said.

The pilot told Thai authorities the aircraft was headed to Sri Lanka, but its final destination was unknown, according to Panitan Wattanayagorn, a spokesman for the Thai prime minister.
It contained about 35 tons of weapons, including rocket-propelled grenades, shoulder-launched rockets and tubes that may be missile components, the spokesman said.
The plane, which was detained Saturday, had five people onboard — four from Kazakhstan and one from Belarus. They will appear in court Monday on charges related to illegal weapons smuggling, the spokesman said.
Thai government officials acted after working with several intelligence agencies for several weeks, the spokesman said. The cargo was taken to a military base while the plane, which is registered in Georgia, remains at Don Muang.

Sri Lanka officials said there were no shipments scheduled in the country either by air or sea from North Korea.
“We have asked the Sri Lanka embassy in Bangkok to obtain details from the Thai authorities,” the ministry said. “We will have more information on the progress of their investigation later on Sunday.”

Such an aircraft could not have landed in any of Sri Lanka’s airports without prior authorization, officials in Colombo said.
Last year, two arm dealers were arrested in Thailand. The men’s arrest came after a series of events that involved law enforcement agencies from at least five countries, including two undercover agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.

Viktor Bout and his associate, Andrew Smulian, made millions of dollars delivering weapons and ammunition to warlords and militants, officials said.
Bout is accused of supplying weapons to war zones around the world — from Sierra Leone to Afghanistan. He has repeatedly said he has not broken any laws and the allegations against him are lies
A Thai court rejected a U.S. extradition request for Bout in August.
