In Thailand we do not have much of Volcano activity but we yearly rice field burning in Chiang Mai every year. Philippines have warned Thailand that some of its smog from the volcano Mayon can float over to south Thailand in time for the New Year and the peak season.
South Thailand and Phuket can get the same smog we have in Bangkok over the New Year. The hospitals in south Thailand are monitoring the situation for people with breathing problems.

Not really the kind of fireworks anybody want for New Year is it?

Doctors, police and volunteers in Sweden that helped with the rescue and identification of the Tsunami victims in Phuket Thailand has become sick.
Many off the Swedish that helped in Thailand have no developed asthma even if they never smocked or were in the risk of getting asthma before.
The doctors in Sweden think that the asthma comes from the formalin and all the pesticides the Thai government used on the bodies from the Tsunamis.

What are you doing to help the environment in Thailand
Well I do the following lets hope you can do the same
I recycle all my paper and plastic by selling to collectors.
I do not use aircon more then once a month
I do not use car I take motorbike or public transport
I say no to extra spoons in 7/11
I do not eat fast food
I turn off the water when brushing my teeth
I take short shower and use cold water (it’s nice)
I do not smoke
I try to buy local and organic products
I keep other people of the climate changes we are facing and by writing this blog post I got your attention. Did you know that some parts of Bangkok will be under water in maybe 10 years time? Think about that next time you buying a river property.

A 65 years old Swedish man has drowned in Phuket Thailand on the very dangerous Kata Beach a few min from Patong beach.
Many people have drowned there especially during the low season. The only beach that is bit safer is Patong beach since it shaped horse shoe and stop the big waves.
In Kata and Karon the beach is long and the undercurrent becomes very strong in the low season from Mars to November.
The Swedish man was swimming despite the red flag warned him not to go into the sea.
