Gas price and other things up in Thailand

The cooking price for gas is on the rice in Thailand. Well just a tiny bit but this tiny increase will everything more experience. People use gas to almost everything that concerns cooking in Thailand so when gas goes up the food price will go up.

Different organizations have protest against this price increasing that they say just hurt the people that have the hardest life already.
Since most taxi runt on gas now we probably will see a increase in taxi fares as well this year.

7/11 went out this month and told the public that they going to take up the price on 500 products in their shops and I have already seen my favorite yoghurt go from 13 to 15 THB

Thai Culture crash in MK resturant

I am not that fond of MK restaurants in the first place, the staff is not like the Thai adverts on TV they are lazy and slow.

Sure the food is good but I just want to eat and sorry I guess I am not that Thai that enjoy cooking in a restaurant but I am sure people with children enjoy it.
It can also be a good way to see what your future partners can do in the kitchen.

Anyway after we have eaten I wanted to pay with my VISA electron card and the girl went to get the manager. She could not speak English but apparently she said that this MK restaurant Lotus Rama 4 was the only place in Thailand that could not take VISA electron. Even the ice cream shop in Lotus takes VISA Election if you ask them nice.

I told my date that it was time to go and since I did not have any other money I would come back tomorrow. The staff just looked at me as I was crazy and suggested that I paid with cash and I said I do not have any.

When I was about to go they come running with the slip anyway, I guess they had it working after all but they just wanted cash.

Culture crash in Thailand they lie about small things for no reason what so ever and I will never learn why.

Family Restaurant in Thailand

Family Fun Food is the new style of restaurant in Thailand or also known as Family Restaurant. The concept of this kind of restaurant is that it is for the family to join and have a meal together feeling like home. There a playing zone for kids to play, which can let the parents enjoy their meals without kids’ interruptions.

Family Restaurant concept is already available in Thailand; you can find International cuisine such as Japanese food, Italian food or Thai food itself. The special dish is the Paw prince which is the animal face-shaped pizza for kids to have fun while they are eating or Sylvanian Salad which is the hot salad with grilled vegetable, becon and Japanese sauce topping. It’s the East meet West food style.

You can find family restaurant at Central World Plaza at 6th floor.

How to open a Pomelo

Pomelo is one of my favorite fruits in Thailand and it was actually my favorite fruit before I moved here but then I only had it once a year. Pomelo “SomO” as is called In Thailand sell for about 50 THB all year around in the supermarkets. I always buy the already open one in plastic wrap and when you do that make sure its “hard” and not soft. If its hard its probably old and taste bad.

Thais like the Pomelo in room because its get sweater but western people tend to like it cold.
But if you want to preserve it the best way is to keep it cold.
