ICT Minister can not block anymore sites

ICT Minister Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom you know the guy that does not know what Internet is and have only used websites in his life. Well anyway he do not have the right to block anymore websites in Thailand, he have to leave that to the courts to decide and we thank you very much for that.

Thailand has according to the same person not blocked many sites at all maybe around 11 300 but other sources say around 40 000 including porno sites and Google’s YourTube.com

We can not verify the information because the website that showed the blocked sites has been blocked.

Thailand to unblock Youtube maybe

Thailand unblocks Youtube or at least they are thinking of it.
The Minister of It in Thailand (you know that one that only look at 2 websites) have told the press that he is going to leave it to the court to block sites. He say that he only blocked about 200 sites but other sources say over 10 000 sites. This is good news for YouTube that have been blocked in Thailand for a long time now.

Thailand makes internet less private

According to a Digg we just saw it will be come illegal in Thailand to have a proxy server or software in your computer that can hide your IP. Many Fire Fox plug in do just does that. Many people use Proxy server to hide the IP or to browse forbidden sites by the government but that will now be illegal if the law is not stopped. It will be punishable to have chat rooms that can lead to rape how you now can stop that is for me a mystery. We will tell you when the law comes in to full affect and what is all about but it looks sad for the Internet users in Thailand.

Thailand and Turkey join hands

To really let the world that Thailand is a super power when it comes to Internet after last weeks decision to make Thailand to an Internet hub the Thailand have made the decision to sue Google and youtube.com. After been taking advice from the “Webmasters Association Thailand” that compared Thailand to Turkey the government took the decision to show who is boss in this matter. Now with over 2000 websites banned plus trying to sue Google Thailand can really establish themselves as an Internet HUB of the world.
