New cyber cop in Thailand

Bangkok Post had an article about the new “cyber cops” in Thailand. The two guys who have the right kick in your door and take your computer with no warrants.

They arrested some poor webmaster that had some guest spammed his forum with sexy pictures. I am sure he uploaded some sexy picture himself but he was arrested because there was 1000 of pictures every day. If you are a lonely webmaster then its not that you want to spend time on, deleting other people’s pictures.

The “cyber cops” insulating that Thailand is full with webmasters that sneak into internet café to run their forum from their to avoid trace.

I do not know really why they bother to stop this internet website when the Thai “sexy” magazines are full with the same pictures and there are xxx movies in Pan Tip.

How about stop all the prostitutes and naked Go Go bars before they run after some poor farrang posting on some website. If he post pictures of his Thai girlfriend from USA he will do nothing wrong but if he do it from Thailand he risk 5 years prison.

Thai man arrested for spreading sexy picture on his website

The police arrested a Thai man for failing to delete spam on his website. His picture voting forum got spammed with 10 000 different post daily from adult companies that pointed to there website. Since he had not staff or time to delete all of the 10 000 links daily the police arrested him for spreading adult content in Public.

The new cyber laws in Thailand are very strict and people have been arrested just for posting none adult pictures of somebody and talking bad about them in forums.

The government on the other hand has no problem approving the Go Go bars and sex shows in downtown Bangkok because they are not there, or something.

No, we will not post the website here since looking at adult website from Thailand can also lead to prison.

Youtube still not free in Thailand

If you want to do a test you can check the speed of Google video and Google’s Youtube.com and you will find that Youtube is much slower in Thailand.

Sure the government of Thailand has lifted the ban on Youtube several months ago but the “protection” is still in place to sort out and filter any unwanted videos.

There is no real media and press freedom in Thailand, last month a girl had her house raided by the police with no court warrant because “some one” said that she posted a picture on a forum.

This is now enough with the new cyber law for the Thai police to come and grab your computer and go trough all your personal stuff without any court order.

YouTube is working from Thailand Hurray!

You Tube our favorite waste of time website has finally broken its cherry in Thailand once more. After an agreement with the Thai military government the Google owned website can now been browsed from Thai computers with out using a Proxy server. Proxy server is by the way illegal in Thailand and so was visiting You Tube before Yesterday.

Let see how much longer it will take before they ban it again? You wanna bet? Dam that’s illegal to.
