The new PM of Thailand hold the post of defence minister and he is also the brother in law of the ousted Mr Thaksin that is in exile in London.
Does this sounds like the government that Thailand so desperately need to bring stability back to Thailand?
No off course not anyone that knows anything about politics knows that this is not going to end well.
When the PM then goes out and says that the US economic crises not going to have a affect on Thailand then you know we are in trouble. I am sure his core voters the not educated farmers in north Thailand believes him but they are not the one investing in Thailand.
We can also see that end is near when the PM wants to bring back the old party and the military and PAD never going to allow that. But by promising to bring his brother in law back he sat Thailand on a Titanic course.

I do not know if this was a step forward or back for Thailand getting Mr Somchai as new PM. I guess it will be more problem since he is Mr Thaksin brother in law and rule under his shadow.
The PPP and the rest of the small follow parties all voted to make Somchai the 26 PM of Thailand. The questions is do they think about Thailand future or do they only think about how much money they will get.
People I talk to that are living in Bangkok are tired of the political situation that is always the same thing who ever wins the election nothing really happen that is good for them.

The Thai government is running for cover and opens a the old airport of Don Muaeng. Since it is on Air Force land the change of the PAD will be coming there is very slim. The government has decided to waste another 1 billion THB to renovate the old airport.
The PAD demonstrators are still occupying the government house and they are looking kind of pathetic now since nothing is actually happening.
There is no real protest going on other then that they are sitting on government house and playing music.

The prime minister of Thailand has been sacked by a score of 9-0 in court but he will raise from the knock out like a true champ.
The PM of Thailand Samak was fired by the court after he took a short work as a cooking host on TV and Thai new laws forbid any PM from doing any other work.
But Samak and his followers just stated that they will elect Samak on Friday and make him PM once again.
This is off course a hopeless situation and foreign media have described Thailand as a banana democracy and think it is very funny that the PM had go after a cooking show.
