January 20th, 2010 — Pattaya, Robbery, Travel Warning
I just want to shout out a warning to people that come with the buss to Pattaya at night / after dark from Bangkok. Thieves are waiting for you at the bus station and they are preying on people that just arrived.
You might think you are safe going with a Baht Bus but it could not be further from the trust. Several people have lost their handbags and necklaces on the buses lately.
They get robbed by people on motorbike snatching it from you as you riding the Bath Bus and you have no way of peruse them.
Keep your chains hidden and hold on to your smaller bags when you ride a Baht Bus anywhere in Pattaya but especially when you come from Bangkok.
Some thief’s have tried to steal my chain two times in one year on motorbike and my friend one time on a Baht Bus. Last week a finish man lost a chain worth over 300 000 THB on a Baht Bus.

Emergency number not working in Pattaya
A thief was trying to snatch a gold chain from my neck for the second time in Thailand and this time I had put in the short number for the Police in Pattaya. I got the number from local Pattaya TV.
I got one number and that was 191 it went to a fax after 3 signals.
I had another number and that was 1155 to the tourists police in Pattaya and that one did not even work it just disconnect.
So I called 1337 the Pattaya information center and the operator said he could take my claim but before I had the chance to finish the call a Thai police come riding on his bike.
From then on the operation went very smooth and I could see that the Police had set up roadblocks around everywhere in a matter of minutes and stopped everyone that matched the thief’s description. Too bad that they did not have my call any sooner they might had time to catch the thief.
I asked one of the twenty police guys looking for the thief for another number and he gave me this one
038424186
It goes directly to the Pattaya police radio center and that’s good if you are in the need for some fast action. If someone tries to snatch your bag or chain in Pattaya please do not think they will not catch them but make sure you call the police right away they are quick to put up road blocks.

The police have arrested two Iranians that belong to a gang (that mean there are others out there) robbing tourists in Pattaya and Bangkok.
According to the police one of these geniuses have been shot down in 2001 and now is caught again? So how the hell did he get back in to Thailand or why did he not get deported in the first place? I have seen cases of farrang being blacklisted for sneezing in the wrong direction.
Luckily for the rest of us the stabbed the wrong German guy in the Prince hotel in Bangkok and he notified the security and police.
Please check the big smile of the police in the background on this picture below.

The most stupid thief’s in Thailand have stuck again. A gang of four male thieves’s robbed the tourist that they agreed to transfer from Cheng Mai to Bangkok. When the tourists fell asleep the gang of four took all the lugged and ran for the hills.
When the tourists woke up they were in outside the main road in the middle of Thailand. Police helped the tourists come back to Bangkok and to Khao San road. The girl in the travel agency in Khao San road refused to say who the driver were and agreed to pay back the money for the lost item.
On different forums around Thailand now there is big news and many people had the same or similar problem. Staff or people riding with the busses steal during the night when people sleeping on the buss.
Now is the change for TAT to step in and warn people of this company and put them out of business. A company should not be allowed to operate like this.
The name of the people behind this scheme is even in the Bangkok Post
“The outsourced bus owner, Sirada Boonme, 26, said the bus belonged to her father’s company.”
Our email to TAT in Thailand
Dear TAT please close down this crocked company working in Thailand since it tarnish Thailand’s reputation and a friendly and safe country. Revoking their license to work with tourists is the first thing you should do and then make sure they get prosecuted.
Kind regards the tourists of Thailand, trough Personal Thailand
