The law against rapre in Thailand is pretty hard but normally rapist go free because the women are still ashamed to make complaints.
The male Thai police officers can be very difficult and even to make a report can be hard you need to really push them to make a report. Not many rape women go from being raped into a Police station or hospital because of the shame the Thai girl feel. Maybe they go home and take a shower or wait a few days and by doing that they are getting rid of all the evidence.
Now a rapist and kidnapper is using this shame to try to get away with the rapes. By video taping the rapes and tell the victims he will publish them on the internet after he trying to stop the victims to report the rape. The shame the Thai girl and the family would feel after seeing the rape on the internet will be to much for most Thai people.
The rapist is a taxi driver and he is working from different locations in Bangkok and but only one victim have step forward but hopefully more will come.
While we waiting for this hi tech rapist to be found we should hope that Thailand would invest in so called rape kits and a special Thai police branch with only women officers for the Thai female victims.

The teacher that tried to hide his face by a swirl and caught in Thailand got 3 years and 3 month in Thailand. He got 6 years and 6 month from the start but because he confessed his sentence was lowered.
He confessed to abusing a underage boy in Thailand but it not clear if he will be trialed in other countries after this. On the photos he clearly abusing more then just one boy and that’s why the manhunt was so big.
A 3 years in prison sentence sends the wrong signal to other pedophiles planning to come to Thailand.

Neil the swirled paedophile is standing trial in Bangkok. He has been charged by having sex with some underage boys in Thailand. He was wanted by Interpol since they un swirled his face and made it public on tv and internet. Neil quickly deleted all his post on Myspace and other forums and shaved his head, then he took the first flight to Thailand.
He lived with his Thai boyfriend for a sometimes and the Thai boyfriend gave him a supply of Thai young boys.
Finally the Thai police got hold of a Thai number he was using and tracked him down from that. It is not that difficult since every telephone shows where you are with in a few hundred meters.
Now he is on trial in Thailand and facing 20 years I hope he get 40.

A Thai girl is helping the Swedish police to understand a 42 year old pedophile in Sweden. The 42 year old is a prime suspect of kidnapping of a girl in her teens. The girl has not been found.
The much younger Thai girl if a girlfriend of the 42 year old and does not speak much English so the police are using translators.
