People with dollar in the retirement plan should really look out if Thailand is the best place to stay. The THB has overnight reach an all time high and many suspect that it has something to do with the return of the former PM.
The new government does not want to restrict the THB to go even higher and we will risk have very difficult to export anything from Thailand. Some say that this is just because the dollar is weak and there is no need to worry since all currency is weak.

My experience over the last few weeks has made it even clearer to me that doing business in Thailand is nothing for me. Sure if you have lots of money and do not really care what you buy then there is no problem but otherwise, no thank you.
Last week hired a maid for some projects and the customer’s complained she did not come some days. When I asked her she said she did not want to come because it rain 16.00. But it did not rain at 16.15 but since it rain 16.00 she deiced it was best not come.
It never struck her that they where in need and she should have taken a taxi or something to get there.
I also tried now to get a translator for some work and even if they only make 10 000 THB a month they want me to pay 10 000 for one day? I got to some gay guy that been to my country and he had no education what so ever. Funny my embassy recommend him I would not like him as translator when I have real problems.
As I said before make your money outside Thailand and then spend them in Thailand. They love to get your money and you feel like a king.

I have a friend that moved from Thailand to USA last year. She wanted to be like the rest of the Americans and bought a car as soon as she could afford one. But what she did not buy was auto insurance for the new car. When she left car dealers it was heavy rain and she had an accident just 1 KM from the car showroom.
Luckily for her it was not illegal for her to drive in this state with no insurance but most of the states in the USA have a law against driving without insurance.
When you buy a car in any country and especially in such a car rich country as the USA the auto insurance quotes is as important as the auto loan quotes.
Auto accidents in the USA can be very expensive and lawsuits for millions of dollars are not unusual. You should always have an insurance to protect you and yourself.
Take the Uninsured Coverage for example if you would hit an uninsured car driver you will still be covered even if the other motorist takes off in a hit and run. There is also collision insurance that will cover everything not taking to account whose fault it really was.

The Thai government is allowing all of the major telecom players in Thailand to start testing WIFI or 3G broadband for 6 month. Most other countries have already a well developed broadband service trough wife and it would fit Thailand very well to offer hi -speed internet to remotes areas of Thailand were you can not make normal broadband.
Because of the change of government and the terrible telecom laws in Thailand this has been on the waiting list to long. Hopefully the test will work out to everyone expectations and we will have broadband here very quick.
