Pomelo is one of my favorite fruits in Thailand and it was actually my favorite fruit before I moved here but then I only had it once a year. Pomelo “SomO” as is called In Thailand sell for about 50 THB all year around in the supermarkets. I always buy the already open one in plastic wrap and when you do that make sure its “hard” and not soft. If its hard its probably old and taste bad.
Thais like the Pomelo in room because its get sweater but western people tend to like it cold.
But if you want to preserve it the best way is to keep it cold.
The Mafia in the new Bangkok airportthe moment but not dead. They are waiting for the police to slow down and get tired of chasing them.
According to the police the are 3 gangs that run the operation of illegal taxi and vans and scam tourist of the money the Airport authority of Thailand want to scam them on.
The prices the mafia and the AOT ask same and the cars they use are similar but AOT says that the mafia robs the tourists something I never heard off.
Anyway the tempo is color now in the airport when you not have to here TAXI TAXI TAXI every 2 meters but they are limited to the boys and girls in green.
In Thailand there are some different rules when it comes to love, date and a break.
The Thais don’t follow the normal rules like westerns are use to.
You are not a girlfriend or boyfriend if you not live together under the same roof so when girl answer you if she has a boyfriend and she says “no” its not really true from my standards.
If you ask a girl on the street for a phone number then she might give it to you just to be polite not because she like you. She does it because she is nice and don’t expect she will answer when you call. If you call too much then she might give the phone to her real Boyfriend that want to know why you keep calling his girlfriend.
She also might get back together with you if you broke up just because she want to be polite and nice to you but it will only last a couple of days then she will vanish.
If you feel this new things for you is confusing take a look at RomanceForEveryone.com they might have something for you to read about this subject.
Thailand has showed little or no feelings on what’s going on in Burma. Most of the talk is about lost tourist trade or lost trade between borders.
The monks of Thailand have been very silent when it comes to criticize the Burmese Junta to kill monks and beat them up. Is there wish if the same thing would happen to them they want the rest of the world to be silent? I know monks should not mingle in politics but just one march for them is that to much to ask?
The Thai government has also blocked the English radio news on several occasions and I am very surprised that they even allow BBC or CNN to continue to broadcasts the news from Burma.
Is the Thai government betting on the military government to stay in Power and keep the deals open for them? What if there is a new government will it be angry with the Thai people for not helping them in need?
Let’s hope that freedoms will claim victory in Burma and were Red to support the effort of the Monks in Burma.
