Cavity search compressed air and Swedish chocolate

I have a funny story to tell you about my trip with Thai Air the last time I came back.

I was very early in the Airport in Copenhagen because the train arrived 4 hours before the plane was to take off.
I had too much baggage I know that I had way too much and there was 3 staff in the check in and I wished I could get the less strict one and I did. She let me take 10 kilo more but I had to leave the small baggage in the cargo and I though that was ok then. But after I went trough the check point I remembered that I put my gold rings in that bag and was not going to get any insurance from them if they were lost.

I start asking the security people what to do and they told me to go to transfer and I went before the line desperate to get the bags out. I spoke English because I am not 100 % in Danish but I understand it. She said I should go down and wait for the bags in claims number 7 in the arrival hall. She also said in Danish to the staff to check me up, she did not think I understood her but I did, bitch!

I had imagined 10 security staff with police dogs and a cavity search when I came down but there was nobody there. I had to ask the transfer staff in the arrival hall and they were very friendly (thank you very much). Once I got my bag and picked out my stuff he even drove it out to the plane really great guys.

I had now only 30 min to take off and I rushed trough tax free to get some perfume and Swedish Chocolate, it is the best one in the world I tell you.

I presented my ticket to the Thai Air staff and then I saw the two security officers waiting for me, ohh bugger. They showed me an x-ray of my bag and said they wanted to take out some stuff. I did not know you could not take compressed air in the cargo I thought it was just in the hand baggage. I had some hum hehe sex toys in the bag and they could see them as well on the x-ray. But they did not care they just wanted the compressed air and I let them take it.
I think they looked 10 times for the last one but we could not find it and the plane was next to us with roaring motors. Finally the Thai Air staff came down and asked the security if I could go or not and they said ok go go it is ok.

Off course everybody looked at me when I came inside the plane because they could see me from the window the security staff checked me just next to the plane and I was the one holding the plane up.

Once in Bangkok I thought they where going to check me as well that they had put some tags or something on the bags. Yep the bags were not there when I come out and only mine. I asked a guy in uniform where my bags were. He talked to some one in the cargo area and they pop up like a life raft in water from the cargo hold. Shit I though, they have checked them already and no they going to stop me and see my toys hahaha, So bloody embarrassing.

I took of all the tags, numbers and anything else that was on the bag and then processed trough green nothing to declare in the customs. They did not say anything but then I saw that they x rayed all the bags. But the luck was on my side and the x-ray machine staff was busy arguing with 20 Indians about some spicy stuff. I quickly went around the corner and then I could hear someone say “hello mister hello” I though shit I have to go back. But then my driver saw me and came and took my bags and the custom guy said “ok go”

Get 1 year Thai VISA Study Thai

From last October the new Visa regulations are scaring people from coming to Thailand. The Thai government looks like they only want to have more people over 50 plus and people with money and yes off course first time tourist.

So what alternative do you have then?

Open a company is good for you if you want to work but it will cost you over 50 000 THB plus maybe 10 000 a month in just accounting fees and taxes. Then there are loads of regulations and limits but if you want to open a bank account and take a loan this is the best one.

Get married yes really it will give you 1 year visa if you have salary or 800 000 in the bank you will get 1 year visa pretty easy. But it can also give you a lot of headache and problems as we all know. This is the cheapest solution in the short run but how about when you get a divorce?

Study Thai language, yes you can now get a 1 year visa studying Thai Language from some schools like Thai Whalen. They will take care of all paper work and all you need to do is go out and come back for a quick change of visa. If you are here on holiday and do not work then this one is the best solution for you and it will only set you back 30 000 THB plus some travel.

Is the Thai Air staff homesick?

Well the return trip with Thai Air was much betters then the trip there. The staff was rested and alert and there were all happy faces. I saw in the newspaper last week all the complaints they got and many of them was off course the lack of small TV screens in the seat. All Star Alliances flights have them but not Thai. Another problem was the flight heading from Bangkok and I must say I agree the staff from Thailand is so bad but the staff to Thailand are as they should, are they homesick or are they only friendly to people visiting Thailand?

But coming to Thailand you have to stand in immigration for about 40 min and that is not what you want to do after been flying for 12 hours. Sure they took elderly and people with babies to a faster line but still standing there for 40 min was not fun I can tell you that. I can not understand why they need a photo of every person coming as a tourist? If there not a better way like let the charter planes send in the photos and visa in advance or something?
