Articles about Thai food
Found this Thailand food site on the internet and it looks like something I had planned to do myself for a time but the only problem is with this site that there is no easy way to search it. I finally found it and I got an article about Thai food and that was pretty accurate. It was about what the Thai people eat and how they eat it. The person said that people used to eat sticky rice with there hands but I am still eating with my hands I have no idea how you could it on a fork

Save money on oversea calls you not made in Thailand
For 2 month now I got a bill from CAT the government telephone company in Thailand and the once with the 007 number that you see on all the billboard. Both times I have a number to UK or Ireland. I never call anyone in Ireland and I hardly call outside Thailand at all.
Now if I call and tell them this the cost for calling the going to cost more then the call because it only lasted one minute, because finding a person that understand what I am talking about going to take maybe 20 min.
I did get hold of a person last time and he demanded that every phone call that I thought was wrong should be send be recommended letter to him and with a letter telling him what was wrong. That was 2004 and I wasted 200 THB and I still have not got any money back.
On the other side True the private company they just told to not pay that numbers and they just took it away from the bill in 2 min, they were very helpful.
So my free advice to all of you that have CAT and have a 1 min error on your bill just give it to them it will actually save you money.

Living in Thailand can make you loose your sense and also your religion. The country is such a mix of different religions that you do not really know your place. It is important to be open to many religions and ideas and because Thailand has much different religions in their religion.
They have a mix of Cambodian, Hindu and Buddhist other religion in what they call Thai Buddhism.
The small houses you see outside houses have nothing to do with Buddhism but it is more a belief of spirit in the house and in the ground.
January 31st, 2007 — Living Here, Visa
I lost my 90 days notification of stay notification document. If you stay longer then 90 days in Thailand you need to go there and report that you are in Thailand and where you are staying. This will not give you a visa or anything like that but if you do not do it they will fine 5000 THB. You also get fined for being late. I knew I was not late but I hoped they did not want me to pay 5000 THB for losing a document.
I went down to the Immigration in Bangkok in the middle of the week because I though there should be less people there and gee I was wrong I never seen so many people in my life there. I guess the high season and the rules make more people come to the immigration.
I went to the information counter or should I say number counter a place where the staff should speak English but cant.
I told her what I wanted and she had no clue but pointed me to counter number 3 and gave me a number. I filled in the form and went to the counter and they told me if I lost the form I need to go to the Police station next door and fill in a missing form application, take that back and then go to room 206 and then go back to them. There was no way I am going to waste my day on a grumpy Thai Police so I went up to room 206 direct with no police report and that turned out to be a good move.
In room 206 four happy ladies with little English but with big smiles tried to figure out what I wanted and then told me to help to look trough all papers they was given in the 14/11-2006. So there I sat helping the immigration finding my form and what struck me was how many Chinese people live in the same apartment. Maybe 20 or more have the same address and I guess some one gave them in for them and the Thai immigration did not care less if 100 people stayed there.
Finally a student that was working there found it for me and she went to copy it and I asked if I had to go to the Police now and they no just go down counter number 3. The girl in counter number 3 got lecture from her boss in a joking kind of way because I had no Police report but they really did not seem to mind. I guess they thought the girls in 206 wanted it for something I do not know.
I had some other questions about my visa and they told me to go to room 203 but they had a party so they told me to go down to counter number 1 and I told them they do not speak English but she was busy eating and just pointed me to the door.
Overall they are pretty nice but the problem is when you want to ask something there is not really anyone there that you can talk to unless you take someone that speak English with you. And the problem then is they just start chit chatting and you get half the information you should get.
The Thai immigration has a new number 1111 I not called it yet but I will and I let you know if it works.
