Thailand cancelling its visa obligation for them as of 11August, 2011, citing the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry press department. The visa-free regime affects only those Slovak citizens who plan to spend up to 30 days in Thailand.

The decision to cancel visas for visitors from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Poland and Slovenia was passed by the Thai Government on 3 May, 2011.

Visas have also been cancelled for Slovak citizens wanting to visit Georgia for up to 360 days, the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry announced, as reported by TASR on Thursday. Since mid-July, Slovaks as well as foreigners with permanent residence in Slovakia can make a trip, or work and study in Georgia, with a valid passport being the only pre-requisite for gaining entry to the country.
