The Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants against ousted Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and nine members of the anti-government United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) on charge of terrorism.

Director General of the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), Tarit Pengdit, disclosed on Wednesday that arrest warrants have been additionally issued for Mr Thaksin and five UDD core figures namely Adisorn Piengket, Wiputhalang Pattanapoomthai, Payap Pangate, Jeng Dokchik, Wichien Kaokam, and UDD chief security officers Aree Krainara, Suksek Polsue, Surachai Devarat and Rachot Wongyod.

The group is subjected to charge of instigating riots in Bangkok.
