Three men were arrested on Sunday in connection with the murder of a 30 year old man at the Maprachan Reservoir in East Pattaya which occurred on Saturday and is thought to be related to the sale of illegal drugs.

The case began with the discovery of the body by a foreign jogger on Saturday. Nongprue Police Officers led by Police Colonel Somnook, arrived on-scene and identified the dead man as Khun Nut, who had recently been released from prison on drug-related offences. He had been shot in the face and upper-body.

A fisherman at the lake heard 5 or 6 shots expelled from a gun earlier and assumed it was a gang of mischievous youths until he heard the screams of the foreign man who found the body.

Police began their investigation straight away and soon determined the killing had been ordered by a man known as “Boy Ice” who is currently incarcerated in Ayuddhya Central Prison in Central Thailand.

The men thought to be responsible for the shooting were tracked to a house inside the Nicharda Village in East Pattaya.
