The Bureau of the Royal Household has issued the schedule of royal activities in celebration of HM the King’s birthday for December 5, 6 and 8, 2013.

On December 5, at 10.30 a.m.,HM the King, accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen, appears on the Phuttan Kanchanasinghat Throne, topped by the Royal Nine-Tiered Umbrella,at the Ratchapracha Samakhom Pavilion in Klai Kangwon Palace, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, granting an audience to members of the Royal Family and civil servants. After the beating of wooden castanets by the Royal Page, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister and the Parliament President pay tributes and offer felicitations to His Majesty the King respectively.

The Supreme Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces then leads the Royal Guards in giving their oaths of allegiance to His Majesty. Later on, HM the King delivers a royal address to members of the crowd and leave.

At 5.00 p.m. His Majesty the King designates HRH the Crown Prince to represent him at the ceremonies of conferring monastic titles on newly promoted monks and the chanting of prayers at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the Amarindra Vinitchaya Throne Hall in the Grand Palace.

On December 6, at 10.30 a.m., HRH the Crown Prince will officiate on behalf of HM the King at a ceremony to offer food to monks in the Grand Palace.

On December 8, at 5.30 p.m., His Majesty the King has designated His Royal Highness the Crown Prince to deputize for him at the ceremony of granting an audience to members of the diplomatic corps who will offer their best wishes and congratulations to His Majesty the King, at the Dusidalai Pavilion, Chitralada Villa.
