The Commerce Ministry is organizing the Thailand Online Mega Sale from now until December 3rd.

Mr. Natthawutthi Saikuar, Deputy Commerce Minister, elaborated on the event that his ministry realizes the importance of an online business. It has assigned the Department of Business Development (DBD) to formulate a campaign to promote online business transactions among local people. The ministry deems that doing business online helps cut operating costs of business owners and reduce consumers’ unnecessary expenses.

The department therefore joined forces with the Electronics Transactions Development Agency (Public Organization), the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the E-Commerce Association, and other related agencies to organize the Thailand Online Mega Sale 2013 from now until December 3rd.

The campaign boasts 20-80% discount off on more than 1,000 items of goods and services from 500 websites of the said agencies and companies.

Moreover, the Thailand Post together with participating financial institutions has agreed to reduce delivery costs and transaction fees for customers of the website.

The organizers expect that the campaign would generate at least 500 million baht by the end of the event. Interested individuals can visit the aforementioned website for more information on the scheme, as well as the goods and services it is offering.
