The Traffic Police Division has sealed off roads around Wat Bavornnives in a bid to accommodate Buddhists travelling to pay their final respects to the late Supreme Patriarch.

Police revealed that roads from the Saphan Wanchart intersection leading to the Bang Lamphu intersection will be closed to traffic. Hundreds of thousands of mourners are expected to attend the funeral rites of the highly revered monk.

Members of the public are urged to use public transport to arrive at the temple in order to ease traffic congestion in the area.

According to police, the funeral procession of His Holiness has already arrived at Wat Bavornnives. His Majesty has instructed that the Supreme Patriarch's body should lie in state at the temple’s Phra Tamnak Petch.
