The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has made three of its schools the centers to distribute food to rally-affected residents who are having difficulties in getting food.

Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra stated that BMA was sending 2,000 food boxes to rally affected people residing near Narathiwat Ratchanakarin junction and Bon Kai community. Besides, three BMA-run schools would be used from now as food disitribution centers after the violent clashes between the government’s troops and the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) supporters have made it impossible for BMA teams to reach the affected residents.

The three schools are Wichuthit School, Wichakorn School and Samsen Nok school. The capacity of each venue is only 1,200-1,300 people.

At Soi Ngam Doo Phlee on Rama IV road, the residents are packing their stuffs and making their attempt to flee the continuing shooting of giant crackers and bullets around the area. Water and electrical supplies were also cut off bringing severe hardship to the locals. Car tyres, fuel boxes were kept in secure position to prevent them from wrongfully being used by the protestors to create further turmoil.
