State Revenue of the Fiscal 2013 Is Higher Than Expected

The tax collection and return of the Government, in its first 8 months of the fiscal, were higher than expected.

According to the Director-General of the Fiscal Policy Office (FPO) Somchai Sujjapongse, the government has collected 1.43 trillion Baht from taxes in the first 8 months of the 2013 fiscal year, during October 2012 to May 2013. The number was 6.2 percent or 84 billion but higher than the estimate. All the revenue was collected by 3 departments, namely the Revenue, Excise and Customs departments. The higher-than-expected revenue was a result of automobile tax, personal income tax, and fuel tax. He said the increasing number indicated higher domestic consumption, higher household income, and a constant business expansion in the country.

Despite the high figure of overall tax collections, the May 2013 figure was lower than the estimate, standing at 326 billion Baht, which was 21 billion but lower than expected.

The director-general further revealed that the government also had to pay 21 billion Baht higher in the tax return to income earners, or around 11.8 percent.

This tendency is kept throughout all these years. I am from https://worldpostalcode.com/united-s...ia/los-angeles, and this is what I observed for the last few years in my state. Only in 2020, due to the pandemic, they slowed down a little. But the whole tax system is still very burdening, especially amidst the current crisis. Let us see what we will have this year.
