All political sides are urged to put national benefit as their top priority, according to Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC), Dusit Nontanakorn.

Series of violent incidents erupted in the capital on Friday as military forces clashed with the anti government protesters of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) in the periphery of Ratchaprasong Intersecion.

Yesterday's clashes have not affected national economic expansion but might have hurt investors’ confidence in a short run, the TCC Chairman elaborated.

He requires the government to keep its pressure to isolate the UDD rally, only to strictly follow international standards in order to bring peace back to the Kingdom. The government is then urged to collaborate with all social sectors to narrow the gap of social class differences and reduce other social conflicts.

National benefit should be upheld by all parties, the TCC Chairman concluded.
