The cabinet has approved the extension of the diesel tax reduction for another month.

According to Government Spokesman Tossaporn Serirak, the Cabinet has agreed to extend the period of excise tax cut for diesel for another month, from 1-31 May 2013, to lower the cost of living of the public. The move will likely reduce the government’s revenue by as much as 9 billion Baht.

In addition, The Cabinet has also agreed to nominate MR. Pongsawat Sawatdiwat as Thailand’s candidate for the post of director of United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
