More beds in Hospitals are ready in Bangkok

Public Health Minister Jurin Laksanawisit has ordered 46 state hospitals in the capital city to be prepared for more emergency patients following frequent confrontations between troops and protestors of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD).

According to the minister, 46 hospitals in Bangkok have reserved more than 1,000 beds while 24 other hospitals in surrounding provinces have arranged another 1,500 to 2,000 beds to serve patients to be sent to hospitals from the violent clashes in heart of the capital.

Rajavithi Hospital and Lerdsin Hospital will be the center to receive and direct patients to different hospitals in Bangkok and its vicinities. About 1,000 oxygen tanks as well as 4,000 to 5,000 units of blood have been prepared for emergency cases.

Four main hospitals near Bangkok have been designated to receive patient transfers. They are Ayutthaya Hospital, Samut Sakhon Hospital, Samut Prakan Hospital, and Phra Nangklao Hospital, which will receive patients from the north, the south, the east, and the west of Bangkok respectively.

Mr Jurin also asked UDD protestors to facilitate the operation of medical personnel accordingly.

It is good to know that they extent their facilities in different hospitals. People are not worried what hospital will be taken in case of emergency. Hospitals now in Bangkok, Thailand can carry a large population of patients.
