A Thai woman beat her pensioner husband to death by hitting him over the head with a claw hammer when he changed his will to leave her everything, a court has heard.

Paul Norfolk, 77, died from head injuries after his best friend’s widow Bunthawee Rimmer, 49, allegedly hit him on the head a dozen times with the 16oz tool as he lay in bed.

Police broke in and found her lying on the bed next to the body of the retired factory foreman in December 30 last year, only three months after he had decided to leave her most of his £340,000 estate.
