How about a vacation to Venice of the east and experiencing the floating markets on the canals? I am referring to the beautiful country of Bangkok, Thailand and now you can comfortably travel within the country from the moment you land on the Suvarnabhumi Airport through its rail link provided by the State Railway Authority.

The Suvarnabhumi Airport rail link has two types of trains that operate from the Suvarnabhumi Airport to the city centre which is the SA Express line that includes a flat rate fare of 150 baht and SA City line that includes a fare starting from 15 baht up to 45 baht. The Suvarnabhumi Express line travels non stop from the airport to Makkasan station which takes only fifteen minutes to travel either way. The Suvarnabhumi City line travels from the airport up to Phayathai Station stopping at six stations which takes thirty minutes to reach the destination.

The SA City line is linked with Phayathai BTS Station which leads to Rajprarop Station which intersects to Nikommakkasan Road where the city line leads to Makkasan station which is also the originating point of the express line. The Ramkhamhaeng Station is situated at Klong Ton intersection that directs to Hua Mark Station which is close to Chonburi motor way that leads to Thab Chang Station and over to Lad Krabang Station which is straight away directed to the underground station of the Suvarnabhumi Airport where passengers can access the railway line directly from the Suvarnabhumi Airport itself.

The State Railway Authority uses a Siemens Desiro Class 360/2 train for City line and a Siemens Desiro Class 360/2 for the Suvarnabhumi Airport Express Train which is electrified at 25kV AC with an operating speed of 160 kilometers per hour. These trains are equipped with facilities favorable even for the disabled and designed according to international standard.

Travelling to your relevant hotel is made easier with the shuttle bus service which is provided from the Makkasan Station to the hotels. These hotels are divided to different color categories such a green line, yellow line, Purple line, blue line, red line and pink line shuttle services that accommodate the passenger every thirty minutes every day. These services which are provided to the passengers happen to be very convenient for both residents and foreigners who travel to Bangkok, Thailand.
