Passengers are returning their train tickets after the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has cancelled all of its northern trips as railways have been flooded.

According to the SRT, trains that were due to leave Hua Lamphong station today to Chiangmai province, Sila At and Denchai districts and Phitsanulok province this evening had been rescheduled as the train tracks in Lop Buri have been submerged.

No passengers were waiting to board the train to the North earlier tonight as most of them had already been informed of the cancellation. Many of them have returned their tickets as it is not known when the services will resume. However, people are able to purchase the ticket for the next day at Hua Lamphong station.

For those who needed to travel to Lopburi, the SRT had provided passengers a free ride to the province which already left the station at 20.10 hrs tonight. Passengers will be able to return their tickets for a full refund at every train station. More information on the daily train schedule and news updates can be obtained by calling 1690. The hotline is operated 24 hours a day.
