We heard this one so many times before we can only hope that North Korea not have 3G before Thailand, PTNA.

An NTC Commission member Natee Sukonrat clarified that the auction of 3G license likely to finish this September. He said during June a public hearing would be organized along with the drafting of related regulations to control the business competition. After that all criteria of 3G licensing issuance will be published in the Royal Gazette and the auction can start.

Mr Natee Sukonrat vowed that the NTC would make utmost effort to accelerate the matter while continuing the licensing process until the new NTC commission was elected.

On 23 May 2010, the NTC held a meeting to hear opinions from 150 persons of focus group including related operators, academicians, and consumers. The auction details were also proposed to the meeting with three different licenses and the use of 15x2 MHz bandwidth for the service area across the country, as well as the MVNO operators supporting option.
