AirAsia launching a campaign to lure tourists to Thailand
Thai Air Asia joins hands with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Airports of Thailand Public Co Ltd (AOT) to launch a special campaign so as to lure more tourists with enhanced confidence

Thai Air Asia CEO Tassapon Bijleveld cited that the company got much impact from demonstration of the United Front of Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD), resulting in 10-15% shrinkage of passenger number.

In order to lure more tourists to Thailand and to help stimulate the nationís economy in Q4, Thai Air Asia along with TAT and AOT have launched a campaign of Zero Fee Program for 10,000 seats. Ticket reservation can be made during 28 May to 1 June 2010.

Mr Tassapon Bijleveld also pleaded with the government to support relevant operators by reducing airport tax by 50% and to extend visa exemption period for tourists, as it was another option to attract them to Thailand.
