View Full Version : Thai Airways Recruiting Over 400 New Flight Attendants

Thai Airways International (THAI) is now recruiting 468 new flight attendants, both male and female, prompting more than 4,000 applicants on the first day of recruitment.

According to THAI Executive Vice President for Operations Department Squadron Leader Asdavut Watanangura, the positions include 178 stewards and 290 stewardesses. This is the first cabin crew recruitment in three years as the number of staff is inadequate for the time being.

Successful applicants will also have the chance to fly with a new fleet of THAI aircraft including Airbus A330, Airbus A380 and Boeing 777.

All applicants are required to possess good personality and service mind while body weight and height will be considered in accordance with the Body Mass Index as specified in employment contract. Successful applicants will be working in the position until their retirement at 45 years old.

There have already been 4,713 applicants so far; however, only 3,688 people are qualified to take the oral examination.

The registration and examination last for five days from 18 to 22 April 2011, to be followed by document inspection and personality consideration from 25 to 29 April. A written test will be on 15 May and announcement of the winners on 19 May, 2011.
