Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Chuti Krairiksh held talks with TOT Plc on Friday in an attempt to accelerate the introduction of 3G technology in Thailand by April 2011.

Following his meeting with TOT Plc, Mr Chuti told TOT President Varut Suvakorn to introduce the third-generation broadband services as soon as possible. The service should make its debut within six months or no later than April next year.

In response to Mr Juti's remark, TOT President reported that TOT had considered loans of 19.98 billion THB offered by Kasikorn Bank of Thailand and Standard Chartered Bank.

The Cabinet on Tuesday has nodded TOT Plc's investment plan for 3G technology with a total budget of 19 billion THB
