The FDA Secretary-General MD Pipat Yingseri stated that the sample of the mangosteen juice would be collected to find steroid and other contamination thereafter. However, mangosteen consumption has not been proved to cure those diseases, while patients using coumadin and anti-cancer drugs including diabetes patients and ones on chemotherapy treatment must be careful of side effects caused by interaction between mangosteen juice and the medicines used.
